Waiting time policy
Right Stuff Online Learning
Introduction:
This document outlines the waiting time policy for faculty and students, as well as the procedure for reporting class
sessions in the event of late student arrivals. The policy is designed to ensure fairness in terms of class duration.
Default Waiting Time
The default waiting time for your child’s arrival to a class is set at 10 minutes past the scheduled start time. Faculty can
wait for up to 30 minutes and report a 30-minute session if the student does not join the class.
Late Student Arrival
If your child joins the class within the 10-minute waiting period, the class will proceed as scheduled, and the session will
be counted as the originally allocated time.
If your child joins the class after the 10-minute waiting period, the class will be held for 1 hour, excluding the default
waiting time of 10 minutes.
Faculty Waiting Time
Faculty members are instructed to wait for students to join the class for up to 30 minutes past the scheduled start time.
Reporting a 30-Minute Session
If the student has not joined the class within 30 minutes and has not provided any prior intimation for the delay, the faculty
will report the session as a 30-minute class for the student and it will be payable.
Example Scenario
For clarification, consider the following example:
- Scheduled class time: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Students join at 7:20 PM.
In this case, the faculty should continue the class until 8:10 PM (to match the original schedule) and can report 1 hour for
the session (accounting for the 10-minute free waiting period).
Exceptions
In cases of unforeseen circumstances or exceptional situations, faculty members and students can contact the relevan authorities to request special consideration.
Conclusion
This waiting time policy is established to ensure punctuality and fairness in-class sessions. It is essential for both faculty and students to adhere to these guidelines to maintain a smooth learning experience and accurate billing procedures.
